I have an alpine deck in my car that you can plug the ipod directly into your system and control the ipod from your deck(also charges the ipod and turns it off when you turn your car off), its a nice setup, easy to use and awsome sound. i loved it all the way up to the day someone broke into my car while i was at work and stole my ipod. i havent replaced the ipod yet but i plan to. heres a tip keep the ipod outa sight, i had the drop cable from the deck that plugs into the ipod down by my seat. instead rout it to your glovebox, my box u can lock so you can just lock it up

Yea, That's what I do. Route the cable to the glove box and lock it if u want. Make sure to buy an ipod skin or put it in the cover or u'll be sorry for the scratches.

Yes, the the only drawback i have seen on the ipod videos, they are easyer to scratch then the other models.

dont ever let it leave your hands or pocket unless its 1) charging safely in your room or 2) going into the hands of someone you REALLY TRUST. for osme reason the new ipods bring out the worst in everyone. a friend of my friend stole mine but he lives about an hours drive away so i coiuld never prove it and i never got it back

also...since its in color the interface is a lot slower.

if i leave my ipod in my car i used to put it under my shift boot in the console because it wasn't screwed down, so noone would ever find it unless they seen me put it there. i have the kca-420i adaptor and i hate it, it takes forever to scroll the the band you want, but the sound quality is freakin amazing compared to an itrip. in my civic i have a sony headunit and it has an input in the back so i ran the a/v cable that came with my ipod photo and pluged the red and white in and left the yellow one unplugged, and that sounds good and was free
