Default 01 stock rims on 97?

I have a 97 Civic EX sedan. It has stock 14" wheels. Will 15" stock rims from a 01 civic work on my car?
Will the 15" wheels give me better handling? Will I have any rubbing problems? Is the offset the same?
I would like to just do an exact swap without any suspension mods.
If I did do this, will it affect anything if I get an alignment?
Also, what is the widest tire I can put on a stock 01 rim?

Thanks in advance,

Dave
