Default 14" Kosei K1 TS

I finally pulled the trigger on the modification gun. I am doing the first major modification to my car! I ordered a set of 14" Light Grey Kosei K1 TS wheels. Before I get flamed for putting small wheels on my car, I have my reasons.

1.) I just bought new tires and I don't want to buy new ones.
2.) I'm in a region that is covered in snow 4-5 months out of the year. I need all season tires. Summer tires are out of the equation. (I'm on a budget.)
3.) I cannot turn down 9.3 pound rims. That's down from 18 pound steelies!

Here they are

I think the grey will be a nice contrast on the Vogue silver. I am installing them on Friday. I will post pics as soon as I can.

Just want to double check that you ordered the 4 lug version of those. 5 lug pictured.

Yeah, I did. It says most approximate photos shown. Listed under product description it says 4-100 bolt pattern.

Do you think 14" will look all right? The stock 14 inch, imo, look fine. By theory 14" alloys will look even better.

What differences will I notice with lighter rims on a Civic?

Thumbs up

I would have gotten 15 inch wheels if I didn't just get new Cooper Lifeliner tires for my steels just over a year ago. I was looking at your project thread, sfazngiants (I really enjoyed reading it, btw!) and I think your HX alloys look just fine in terms of diameter. Looking at your black rims also made me realize light grey is going to be awesome looking. Friday cannot come fast enough.

I too wish my HX wheels were 15" instead of 14" because the selection for tires increases dramatically for the 15" size. Regardless, the wheels you selected will look very nice!

14s should look just fine.I personally think 15s fit a little better, but it's not worth it if you already have the tires.

Good choice on rims!!

I want to wait until the weather changes to post "artsy" pictures of my car's new rims. Until then, I have changed my signature picture to include my wheels that were installed on Friday. I also put on new rotors, ceramic pads, shoes, and drums all around!

I think they look sweet. I love the contrast of the silver and grey. The steering feels tighter. The car feels more planted on the road, and it takes corners like a champ! It is way smoother in corners.

I think lowering your car a bit will make your wheels look way better on the car. But then again, you do have all that snow so lay off on that idea. :P
