i have 195/50 15 on my old rims that are 15x7 and they are not to small, i also have 205/50 15 on my si rims which are 15x6.5 and they look great, personally i would buy the cheaper ones because the size difference is only 10mm wide which is not much

205.x.50x2. divided by 24.5=8.367 PLUS 15=23.36 inches tall.
Using this formula calculate your OE tire hight. What is stock size for your 02 civic?
Take the cross section (205) mulitply it by the aspect ratio (the 50 in the tire size) mulitply by 2, divide that by 24.5 mm (24.5mm in an inch) add to that the rim size (15) This will give you the overall tire height.
Look at a 225/40/18 225x.40x2. divided by 24.5 plus 18=25.346
my 06 stock is a 205/55/16 25.2 tall Im using an 18x8 +42mm with a 245/40/18 26.0 tall Remember, if your new tire is 3/4 inch taller than stock, its 3/8 on the top of the tire and 3/8 on the bottom.....

You need to divide by 25.4 not 24.5 to convert metric to standard.
Uh oh, I joined because I need some tire info and the first search I dohas incorrect information...

I'd go for the 195/50/15 I work at a tire shop and thats what a lot of people put on there civic and integra that have 15" rims on them.

195'sare what it had and are slightly smaller and make the car rev to much and the speedo is off. 205/50-15's, at 23.1" diameter, are the closest diameter to the stock 195/60-14, which are 23.2" in diameter. 195/50-15 are only 22.7" in diameter. I'd like to keep the speedo as close as possable and fill the wheel well better also.
