16's or 17's

i dont know what size rims i should get. Are 16's better for performance and 17's more for looks? Also the 17's are $60 more.

total. do 16's look good when you lower your car because im going to lower it about 1.5'

Go with 16" for performance and yes it will look good.

if you drive a lot, the 16s would be better.

the bigger the wheel the harder it is on the tranny, because it takes more force to turn a bigger wheel

oh cool, i was just pondering the same dilemma! i think i am gonna go with 16s tho. does anyone have any pics of they're car lowered with 16s?? and how tall would the tire be? the profile or whatever?

probably a 45 series. but it depends on how much you want to lower. for a 205/45/16 you would approximately run about 23 1/4 inches in tire diameter size. incase this helps?

i was under the assumption that was just when the diameter of the wheel/tire itself increased as in if you went from 15 to 17 and used to same series tires, then it would put more work but if you drop from say 60s to 40s or whatever keeps the dimensions the same, it would be the same. of course im thinking in terms of RWD too soo please excuse my ignorance if im mistaken
