17in. rims and tires problem

RE: 17in. rims and tires problem
yes, the rear camber kit was enabling you from tucking the tires because when you corrected the rear camber, you're in turn judding the top of the tire outwards making it rub the rubber stripping. for a mild drop, you need 205/40/R17 tires and you need to run quite a bit of negative camber.

Whats the offset of the wheel? This is where your problem comes from!

Try reading the entire thread again and then response, maybe you need to get your eyes checked too?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a higher offset mean the wheel will be pushed out more? That would make the problem worse if it was rubbing on the outside of the wheel well.

You are correct, my new tires (215/35/17) are pushed out more but after I got fender rolled, they no longer cause any problems and I can now drive with passengers sitting in the back too BTW, I forgot to add on this thread that, later I found out that it was rubbing on the top of the tire as well as the outside. It was rubbing the top because 40 offset and side because of fenders.

BTW, do you think it will rub with the new tires (215/35) on when there are passengers sitting in the back?

I will have to replace those tires and get lower offset.
by lower....do you mean a lower number? Cause you need to go the other way. A higher offset.
