Default 17s or 18s

Hello I am looking at some wheels but don't know a good size to go with.
Here are the wheel that I am looking at, it's the 506 in silver with theStainless Steallip
http://drifzwheels.com/wheels.htm
I would like to get the 17x8's but they told me that the 8's are too wide I would need a widebody kit for that....
Now I can get the 18's in 7.5 that would work on the car. I am leaning towards the 18's for the extra rubber...

What are the offsets on BOTH wheels.? This will determine if the wheel fits.
The 18x7.5 is the better choice. You can get a tire short enough to fit.
I would do the 17x7..... Get the correct size tire, and lower the car as far as you need. (with the proper offset, of course)

42 offset will be fine, mines 40 and it works out. 18"s are too big IMO, with the correct overall tire size (205), those 18"s will have NO rubber. The ride is gonna feel like sh*t, either go 16"s if you can or 17"s if you wanna have a super rough ride but good looks. A lot of the looks has to do with hte overall tire size though, like i said 205's are close to stock size (thats what i have with my 17"s), and the ride is pretty rough, but i think it looks great on the car. Before i was lowered it looked odd thouhg, i say if you're going any aftermarket wheels lower your car as well.

I'd say go with 16's...but 17's are the largest you should go. 18's on Civic's look odd.

with 18's, you want 215/40-18 tires on a 7th gen. And personally, I think 18's on a 7th gen look fine. But then again, I'm a fan of 17's on a 5th/6th gen (zomg!)... I think all this ride quality stuff is b/s. Then again, my civic (even with stock springs/wheels) rides like s**t anyway.

Ok Guys I am thinking of doing the 17s but with a stagger combo.
Has anyone here done the stagger look?

I have 17's and they're not rough at all. My last set was loud as heck and were rough, but I run nitto neogen's and they're smooth.
