Cool 205/55R 16's ---> 205/60R 15's ??

Question...I have a 2011 Civic EX-L 4 door with 205/55R 16's and I need winters. I found some slightly used 205/60R 15's (on rims) and would like to know if this downsize is going to cause any problems for my car (miliage, brakes, engine, etc). Also do you know if it makes a difference if the car is leased? Don't want to void any warrantees....Thanks!!

I seriously doubt you can put 15" tires onto a 16" wheel. Otherwise, if the tires you are looking at buying were 16's, you would have no problems.

I realize this is a bit old, but I'd say to try the new wheel/tire setup. Since they're already mounted on 15" wheels, you'll want to make sure they're clear the brake calipers and that their offset clears the suspension components, too. The overall tire diameter of the 15's will be .2" shorter, so you it'll throw off your speedometer slightly, but shouldn't cause any other problems.

Here's a fun tire tool I've used for years to help with sizing tires and wheels.
