Default 95 Front Disk Bearings

I have a 1995 Honda Civic that needs the front wheel bearings replaced. I got the axle hub nut off, the caliper off, and the rotor off. Now I have an axle flange and no clear 'next step'. How do I get to the bearings?? Do I need to dig into the boot behind the rotor?

Your going to have to remove the axle as well as the hub. The hub as the bearings in it so you can take the hub to a machine shop and have a new bearing pressed in. I'll try to look up the procedure to take the hub when i have a min.

Any info you can provide would be helpful. I'd get a parts store manual on the car, but they dont usually go into things like bearings. I hate to have to go through this level of disassembly; but I dont want to shell out $200-$300 to have someone else do it. I was thinking; all the front bearings I've replaced in the past have been on rear-wheel vehicles.

So I got the steering hub removed. Now I suppose I just need to get a new bearing from the parts store and find a place that can do the work for me...

Any machine shop should be able to do it. I don't know if you have a Lee Auto Parts in your area, but they are a parts shop and a machine shop. You will have to press the hub off of the steering knuckle. I couldn't find any more details on how the actual bearings come off but the machine shop should know more about this.
