Default 98 Civic cv joints/bearings

My Civic has 280,000 km and when I'm driving I hear a whining noise and if I turn to the left it gets louder and to the right gets quieter. I don't know if the bearings or cv joints have been replaced so I'm wondering which or both or something else? Please let me know.

look up under your car and inspect things first, check the cv axle boots.

The cv boots look ok, no cracks but one end there is a little bit of grease. CV boots were changed at 200,000km. What about bearings?

wheel bearings, jack the car up and wiggle he car's wheel and see if there is any play, also drive the car for a little bit and stop and touch each rim and see if one of them are hot.
