Default ABS Problem, how do you disble ABS

My ABS system on my 95 civic has not been working for about 2 years now. The problem (using troubleshooting code when jumpering the connector) indicates that the left rear sensor is bad. It's too expensive to fix so I have been driving without ABS since then. This winter I did not have any problems braking or controlling the car in slippery/icy conditions so I know that the ABS system is not essential for safe driving.

The sensor all of the sudden started working last week but it is intermittent, where the ABS kicks in even when there is no tire slippage during normal braking. Because of this I want to disable the ABS system. Does anyone know how to do this?

Have you done the electrical troubleshooting (see service manual) to determine whether the problem is a bad wire or loose connector versus a bad sensor?

By the way, a sensor can be purchased for a little more than $100 at Majestic Honda.
