Default aftermarket struts?

This spring, I plan on gettin Tein S-tech springs.... my question is: will the lower springs kill the stock struts? I need to replace the worn-out struts anyway, so I'll be doing that when I put the new springs on, but if the S-techs won't decimate the stock struts, I'd like to just use OEM replacements, since they'reprobably cheaper than aftermarkets.

you might as well replace them, considering how old they are. Performance shocks aren't THAT expensive, what's your budget?

Well, I don't really want to spend more than $500 on springs and shocks, and the S-techs are approx. $170... about how much are shocks? Also, web site orbrand recomendations for shocks would be greatly appreciated

Go with Tokico HP's there an all around little better then stock strut look on eBay usually you can get a set for around like 350 to 450 or just keep searching I got mine for 320 for struts and s techs. But I just got lucky. I think summit racing has an ok deal with the tokico struts also. BTW you need to shop around more 170 is alot for s techs most people spend on average around here for them about 130 to 150.

S techs are designed to work with your stock struts, but I would say get something aftermarket if you have the money. Im thinking about getting something adjustable soon to go with my teins.

Tein S-TECH Lowering Springs

Tein S. Tech springs are an excellent step towards suspension tuning. They offer approximately a 1.5" frop for a more aggressive appearance and increased road holding capability. These springs are designed to be used with OEM or OEM replacement shocks/struts. Each application is road tested in the U.S.A. for the proper balance between performance and comfort. The line is produced with Vanadium which is durable, lightweight, and has properties to retain more spring stroke than the competition.

Key Features
Average drop is 1.5" for an aggressive stance.
Increased handling, control, stability, and reduced body rol during cornering.
Designed to be used in conjunction with OEM shocks/struts.
Silencer rubber included to reduce or eliminate noise from coil to coil contact.
3 stage powder coat process for a long lasting finish for durability.
1 year limited warranty (From date of purchase. Eligible if there is over 5mm of sag in spring free height, and or any visible breakage, excluding powder coat finish and rusting).

yeah, those HP's are nice. I would buy them tomorrow if I could spare the cash :-(

That set that dbclutchin listed sells on websites for over 500 usualy.

And you can go to procivic.com and buy the tokico hp's and either H or S tech springs for under 500 shipped.

So you are within your budget either way you look.

Good luck !
