Default Best drag radials??

I was looking into buying some drag radials for my civic. Dont really know much about any of the tires out there. The three main ones i know are a nitto 555r, nitto nt-01 and a falken rt-615. Does anyone have experience with these or have other suggestions? Should i just go with a full slick. And if i do this am i going to break my axels with 285hp on stock gsr half shafts? Any help would be great.

If your gonna do it do it right.... go with full slicks. They are not as harsh as everyone thinks. Most people run stock axles even up to 600whp. Slicks grip and you go you dont get wheel hop witch breaks axles. Go with full slicks you will love em. Just practice preloading the launch. Pull your ebrake up all the way and load the clutch slightly. This way there is no harsh grab action on launch. Once the lights go green just let go of the ebrake and away you go!!!

Berz out.

the problem with slicks is not so much the fear of breaking things, but you have to understand that slicks are designed differently than regular tires. the sidewalls are evry soft, designed to wrinkle, and that wrinkle eats low end power, and on a car that doesnt need a full slick, it will hurt your launch.

285 whp will need some sort of slicks though. sorry I cant help you. I have some NT-555Rs, but Ive never used them, and I just got my RT-615s on yeasterday, so I havent even really launched hard on them yet. but the 615s are not a drag tire. they were designed for road racing, but should work decent as a street tire for drag racing.
