Default Brake dust shield

HOW DO I REMOVE THE DUST SHIELDS!!??!?!?!

i thought it was just being held on by a couple of bolts on the back of the rotor, i guess not though. do i actually have to take off the rotor in order to take the brake dust shields off? thanks

i think its more of a brake duct kinda thing than a dust shield. if u look at it, toward the front ofit is kinda open as if it were mentto help guide air to the brakes. either way, why would u wana take it off?

well i adjusted my ride height the other weekend and for some reason at the bottom of the rotor the shield gets pinched between the rotor and a bolt while turning left . i got an alignment on thursday and new tires in the front but that still didn't change anything. so i just want to take the shield off.

its a bolt thats behind the shield, i didn't take a look at what part of the control arm the nut was for but its like..........nut>shield<rotor. so if you look behind the shield where the axel is you will see what i'm talking about. but now i at least see that i need the rotors off in order to take the shields.

it wont hurt anything if i do take them off will it?

ya if u take off the ball join nut u can swing the rotor out and prolly remove the sheild. u'll prolly need new cotter pins for the ball joint nut if u do that.
