Well, it's obvious you don't live in southern California! There's no such thing as rusted brake lines around here.

Well, it's obvious you don't live in southern California! Rusty brake lines are unheard of over here. In fact, it typically doesn't rain from April to November.

well not everyone lives in a road salt free area ;)
and cars are transported all over the states so unless you bought the car BRAND NEW then it could have been from a salted area ;)

Believe it or not, I bought it from the original owner's brother, a yacht broker who lives on Coronado island. There may be salty air there, but no salty roads. I used to live in CT for many years, so I know what it's like to try to remove an exhaust system from a rust belt car!
