brakes goes straight to floor

Default brakes goes straight to floor

when im driving somtimes my brakes goes all the way to the floor does anyone know what the problem is

air in the system, bleed them out, then try again.

p.s. from your screen name, i'm guessing you had a bad experience?

If you don't know how, take it to a shop and have them do it. Chances are if you don't know how to bleed the brakes, then even if we explained it to you, you may not understand(no offence) but i get the impression that you are fairly new at this stuff

yea im fairly new to this. how much do you think it would cost for them to bleed the brakes?

not too much, and it varies from shop to shop, i always do it myself, so i don't really know a good estimate for it.

allright my friend just bleed the brakes but it still does it he says probally i need a master cylinder wat do you think?

Either you DO need a master cylinder or you have a big leak somewhere. If you do get a master cylinder, don't let anyone pump the brake pedal to the floor, years from now when the brakes are bled. It won't hurt with a newMC, but overextending the piston in a used MC will damage its seals. Some people place a block of wood under the pedal when they blooed the brakes. This is a good idea if it is done manually.

im try bleeding the brakes again it only goes to the floor when im parking or when i just start the car has anyone ever had this problem?
