camber kit help!!!!!
Hey I have a 88 Honda hatchback and I was planing on lowering it with some coilovers about 2 1/2". I've seen different camber kit options. Like ones with adjustable ball joints with the rear lcas and camber adjuster. I'm wanting to retain the 0 camber. Would the kit with only the upper control arm w/ajust. Ball joint, LCA, and rear camber adjuster be fine or do I need the adjustable a arm mounts too. Here's the kit I'm looking at. I was wondering if it would work fine thank you. http://www.ebay.com/itm/380642840974

unless your slaming the car on the ground a basic camber kit is all you need. im not familiar with older civics but i believe the adjustable ball joint on the the camber arm is what allows you to adjust the camber given your car uses a double wishbone suspension. the newer civic uses a macpherson strut which requires front camber bolts.

Even a factory car has camber. you don't want 0 camber all around.
Good thing is that camber doesnt destroy tires. Toe does. Get the car aligned afterwards to correct this. IMO, camber kits are for looks only. I have them and running -2* up front and -1* in the back ;) |
Thanks that really helps. Ill post pics when done

i wouldn't say that camber kits are just for looks the lower your car goes the more negative camber you get especially in the rear. negative camber will give you uneven tire wear.
