Car is shaking at fast speed
I just recently got my 17 rims and tires install, plus alignment done and my steering wheel is shaking at 80 miles and up. I'm thinking i should go back and have them recheck my alignment. Anyone have a reason why its doing that?
it could be a bunch of things. does it only do it while braking? warped rotors. does it do it all the time? ball joint, tie-rod end, possibly an alignment issue, bad tire, pressures wrong, axle, wheel bearings, maybe even a wierd road surface? ive thought something was wrong with my car before, then it went away when i turned onto a different road.[&:] sorry this doesnt narrow it down too much.
that same thing was happening to me too! my wheels were balanced twice. turned out that my tie rods were going out and my rotors weren't pretty either. i would check those before you do anything else. if it is soemthing else, please post!
lol just installed new crossed drilled rotors and pads so that aint it.........but check it.......i had the stock hubbies on before the rims..........so i went from 14inches to 17 inches.......can that be it?..............i got me wheels at wheelmax.com .......maybe theyre machine balances wheels up to 75 MPH......??
i've heard that they don't do a very good job at balancing. my buddy got some wheels from there and they weren't balanced at all. but i would check out the suspension before you got them done again.
