Cheap Suspension Things
I know I'm going to get a bunch of "search the forums" posts, but I did, and havn't been able to find anything relevant.
I am about to purchase some new suspension for my '00 Civic EX, and had two possible setups picked out. I just can't decide between the two.
1.- Tokico HP Blues with Tein S-Tech Springs
2.- Tokico HP Spring and Shock Set
If anyone has any experience with either, please let me know:
-How much drop it has provided
-How the handling was affected
-How the ride was affected
-Any problems
-Recommend?
Also, any other budget setups would be appreciated with the above information. Let me know.
EDIT- With either of these setups, how urgent is a camber adjustment? And any recommendations?
Thanks!

RE: Cheap Suspension Things
a personal quote of mine....
basically...if you only want the lowering on a budget then the s-techs are the way to go...but if you want performance id suggest something else with aftermarket shocks.
ORIGINAL: Nail I3unny
s-techs wont give you as good of handling as you might want and i'll tell you why. when tein designed the s-tech they wanted to make a good, reliable lowering spring that you can use with stock shocks. the problem is that if the springs are too stiff then the shocks wont be able to rebound enough and your car will be bouncy as hell and ride like crap. so to avoid this, they used a lower spring rate than most other aftermarket lowering springs. the result is a great lowering spring with stock shocks... but not so great in a handling aspect. if handling is what you're after, i'd look into H&R or Omnipower.
