Default Coil Over Question

Still new to this, but if I get coil overs do I still need struts?

It's a good idea, but not absolutely necessary. By coilovers I assume you mean the lowering springs wiht the adjustable perches. Lowering will put extra strain on your stock set-up and will wear on it much more quickly. Thats why full coilover systems are so much, becasue all of the components are designed to work together. A system will give you the ride height and performance you want and the durability of stock or better. But I know I can't afford that crap so, bottom line... No you don't HAVE to get new shocks/struts.

Thanks for the reply, I need new struts and shocks anyway. Car has 135,000 and never been change. So I thought I ask before I purchase them. Dont plan on lowering the car too much seeing that im going to run 17" rims.
Thanks again.

Good aftermarket ones aren't that much more, if at all than OEM replacements. Spend a little and get the good stuff.

I have dropzones. The whole set was around $350 shipped. Search on e-bay, you'll see which set I'm talking about.
