I'm installing a fully adjustible coilerover system and camber kit on my98 hatch.
Just wondering if there is any special tools needed or any problems that I would
encounter that I should know about?
This is the 1st time I have ever installed a full coil over and camber kit soo any

the only part if any would be a spring compressor that you can probably rent from a local auto store that is used with an impact gun or like an open end wrench.... springs are under EXTREME pressure and could easily put your eye out and you in the hospital if they come off just right... other than that they are extremely easy to install..
if you are installing a coilover system with the struts u shouldn't need a compressor. i would say the funnest part will be removing the bolts they will be nice and rusty and hard to get off. do it when a local parts or hardware store is open incase u have to cut the bolts.
OK so i started installing my coilover system today and i ran into some problems...................
1....On the driverside rear..........the lower bolt head is striped real bad.........and i cant get it off....lol
2....On the passenger side the lower bolt for the control arm broke off half way back so it is still threaded in on the one side........
O ya i used penatrating oil and heat before i started taking off the bolts and they still striped and broke so i really dont no what to do.........
Does anyone have any pointers for me, this is my first time doing a job like this so any suggestions are welcome........

there will be much swearing and maybe a bit of blood, but you will need to cut them off, and maybe try to drill them out. and most likely you will have to get new bushings for the control arms, so look to energy suspension for those in polyurethane.
those rear lower bolts are very stubord and challange any body who trys to face them.. i just used a huge breaker bar and put the socket on the end of it and put all of my weight on it and they broke loose...
eek, this sucks man, I've been there. Like ef said, a little swearing, and a lot booze will help
You will need to cut/drill them out, it's not fun, but its the only way. After you do finally get them out, you'll be faced with another issue, pulling out the bushings and getting new ones in. Easiest solution, pick up some new "Omni LCA's" for about $100 shipped, they will come with brand new bushings, and quality ones at that. I figure after the hassle of ordering bushings, and taking the lca's somewhere to have the old ones pressed out, and the new ones pressed in, it's probably more cost effective to just get the LCA's.
If it makes you feel any better, the fronts should be MUCH easier, so at least you have something to look forward to

Use a pair of vice grips on all striped bolts. On the broken bolts remove the rest of that bolt tap the whats left over of the broken bolt out or use a center punch in the middle of the bolt and drill it not all the way through and use an extracter set and spin it out.
