Hmm I see whats the purpose? More stablity? Indeed it looks good from behind.

mostly weight loss and looks...they usually have better bushings too.

if your cars lowerd i dont think you can see them if someone is driving behind you..i was looking at my car yesterday and i cant see my LCA's if i stand like 20 feet behind my car

aftermarket LCA's are mostly for weight reduction. the new Omnipower FLCA's weigh like 7 pounds each.

and like roto said, they usually have stiffer bushings.

some LCA's help with the camber or w/e when slamming ur car. they help with handling a bit since they are a bit better designed than the oem ones, they weight a few lbs less and they look great. my cars lowered about 1.5" and u can see my stock ones, my friends think its pretty cool how they can see the rear tie bar when driving behind me...i'll eventually get some LCA's along with a sway bar
