Default Getting New Tires few q's

Okay right now I am running with bridgestone potenzas RE900's. I have them all around but the back two are pretty worn so I am about to get two Kumho 712 Ecsta Supras. These tires seem to get good reviews http://autoweb.drive.com.au/cms/A_54...wsarticle.html and are in my price range so I am going with them. ANyways my q is where should I put the new kumho's front or back. Where should the most tread be? I am thinking the front but am not sure. This is really my first car except for my old v8 beast (park avenue) So help a brother out.

You should always put the tires with the best tread on the drive wheels (front on a Civ).

That is what I was thinking, but my potenzas are so nice. They have a lil less tread then the new ones will but man they grip.

I remeber reading a magaizine article years ago about only replacing 2 tires and I cant remember exactly what it said but they were saying put the best tires on the rear no matter what drivetrain layout you have because if the backs are bald it is very easy to loose traction in the wet.

Although I would still put the better tires up front on a civic

Well nothing is bald. My potenzas that I am keeping are like almost new. The two I am replacing are because one has a slow leak and the other is pretty worn.

just throw the Kuhmos on the back. its not a big enough difference to bother switching them around.
