Default is it hard to change the rear drums to disk?

just as the title says, whats involved? plumbing would be a bitch i suppose but other than that, is there kit i could buy to make things easier?

i will probably go after market here, what brands?

maybe upgrade the disks and calipers in the front and put stockers in the rear?

i'm doing this cuase i hate the way drums look with aftermarket rims.

thanks

well with the swap i believe the hard lines are all the same. just a different proportinal valve for disc brakes on the firewall, master cylinder... and pretty much the whole rear spindal sets.

nothing to complicated if ya find a donar car.....

just unbolt the whole assembly from the rear lines as well as Ebrake cables.
you could always buy a pretty complete kit off ebay... just do alittle search they are always up on ebay.... i think the only thing missing on his set is the master cylinder....

thanks for the reply, i guess i could do it for cheap if i found a car that already had them in the rear? or could i use stuff off the front of another civic and put it in the rear?

i doubt it but figured i'd ask.

i don't excatly understand how it works, with the proportioning valve and master cylinder, so i'm going to howstuffworks to try find something.....

the proportioning valve is designed for disc/drum and another desigend for Disc/discs they are not a definate MUST to swap BUT recomended if you want the true braking they where designed for which is best...
now for the master cylinder im not POSITIVE BUT ive heard they have more pressure as well. may not be a must but you can always ask your honda dealership or parts counter and see if there is a difference.
i just painted my drums black and dealed with them..... to much money for me for mostly looks...

and you must use them from the rear.. they are completly different!
