Default have stock, want to lower it!

i have a '97 civic ex 2dr and basically everything on it is stock besides the rims (which are 14" or 15" enkies that came with it when i bought it). i am looking to lower the car about 1.5"-2" and at a decent price cause i have a limited budget. what is a good way to do this? what brands should i be looking for? and what is a good price on 4 lowering springs (or coilovers) and 4 shocks/struts?

thanks all!!!

you are about to get a million answers, i suggest a good set of shocks/struts and springs, you should be paying somewhere around $500 or so shipped at least.
