Can you buy that aircraft paint stripper you mentioned in stores? I havent seen any at Lowes or Home Depot. The stuff I used sucked and took like 6 coats and still didnt completely work.

i believe you can get them at walmart from what i've heard

UPDATE: i am currently working on my last rim today, so far i've spent about 4 or 5 hours on this one and seems like maybe another to get them done. i am excited on getting them all done. spent about 2 weeks and many hours on polishing the lip. i will grab some pics tomorrow with them on and give my car a wash. need to clean the tires also since the sand dust made my tires white, but anyways i am excited on seeing them back on my car.

I bet they look a million times better than before. Are you using any rubbing compound polish?

Rubbing compound won't make them shine good. They'll be free of most visible scratches, but the rubbing compound will make them cloudy. You need to use rubbing compound and then polish.

Instead of rubbing compound you're better off wet-sanding with high grit sandpaper.

i am finally done with polishing the lip, gave the wheels a wash, cleaned the tires, and added a layer of tire shine and also use wheel polish and wax the rims. finally got time to upload a couple pics, the wheels turned out great, no more cracked paint lip. here are some before and after pics. let me know what you think, positive or negative

Looks great, a bit hard to tell at a distance, but close up about it is 1000 times better.
