I have been kicking around the idea of doing this to my Hx rims to. The ya re good rims light as hell. How did you do the masking off to keep the lip from getting painted? I am concerned with having uneven lines.

what color are you going for. what i would do if you want black rims and polish lip or doing a polish lip with any color is to use some aircraft paint stripper and strip the paint off the whole rim and use sand paper and polish the whole rim up. its easier to do than to just polish the lip. you can use the blue painters tape and tape up the lip and you will need patience and careful to get into the end of the lip and you can just paint the the rims wait for it to dry, give it a couple hours and remove the tape carefully.
