Default Just bought new wheels but have a noob question

Ok i just put in an order for new 17" Falken Torque 5 gunmetal wheels w/polished lip wrapped in Falken Ziex-512 205/40 tires and these are the very first set of aftermarket wheels i have ever bought. My noob questions are should i put anything on the wheels for protection like some kinda of wax or something and when i put these on i dont have to get an alignment do I? Is there anything else i need to know?

um you dont need any kind of coatings just slap those babys on, if you car hasnt been lowered then you will be fine with just sticking the wheels on. I would recommend some locking lugnuts to insure the rims from getting stolen..

My car has coilovers on it now but i raised it back up to near stock height before winter but i might drop it back down and get a new alignment if the wheel gap is too big. Also i do have tuner locking lugnuts coming with them. How much of a drop can i go before i start to rub?

probably about 3/4 of an inch of an air gap between the fender and tire

I would wax them up. At least the faces.

Makes it much easier to get brake dust off them when you go to clean the car.
