what is that shiney tie bar?

 

its not a tie bar, its an ASR subframe brace....if u want a thicker sway bar u'll want one to reinforce the subframe from stress...

 

where do I get one? I bet it replaces the tie-bar too....me like...

 

someone on ebay sells them i believe. only other sites i've seen sell subframe braces are passwordjdm.com and kingmotorsports.com. their atleast $180 anywhere.

 

do they replace the whole thing? or do they just slide over the original brace?

it covers the subframe to reinforce it. there are other kinds that do the same but look a lil bit different too. the ASR brace works as a tie bar pretty much helping strengthen the subframe when using a thick sway bar to prevent it being tore out or pulled out. as far as i kno u can still use a rear lower tie bar along with the subframe and sway bar but obviously the tie bar will have to be put on top of the brace.

 

Damn....now here come another $500 invested into suspension....
