Default motor mount

Yesterday I had a friend replace my timing belt, and he showed me my motor mount, he called it a torque mount, I believe

It is in horrible shape and needs to be replaced
Should I get replacement ones, or go ahead and get aftermarket ones?
I don't know which would be better.

I wish I had this link my bro sent me...

This one guy apparantly used window urethane (the stuff they use to install car windshields) to fix his motor mounts...if I recall he just filled in the hollow parts of the mount except where the bolt goes thru with the stuff, let it set up for 24 hrs, then installed it. I also recall they were MUCH stiffer the the factory mounts. its an idea I've been toying around with...

the aftermarket ones are great, but they cause way more vibrations inside, and make the engine way louder

yeah the driver side torque mounts tend to tear up quickly. i bought an OEM one and put Energy Suspension motor mount inserts in all my mounts. its a very good kit but the vibrations sure can get annoying. i dont even dare use my a/c while at idle[&:]

Alright guys thanks for the help.

My friend was telling me about putting something on mounts to make them stiffer.

I think I'm gonna just get some OEM ones though.

There is a definate quicker throttle response though, and for someone geared for more power, its worth it. What's your ride?
