Default My $50 rims...

Ok, so I've got a buddy that used to have a Civic. He just got back from the Marines, and right before he left, he totaled his Civic with hydrolock via his CAI...he is an idiot and ran it through standing water. Anyway, so he calls me up this last week saying he's got a bunch of parts left over along with some rims that should fit my Civic. $50 and I can have it all, so long as I get it out of his way. Needless to say, I take him up on the offer.

I got a nice Magnaflow fart-can that I was offered $50 bucks for immediately after I got home (any suggestions on a reasonable price to look for?), a brand new stock grille insert and plastic fascia ring, crappy hood pins, and four mildly used OZ Racing 15's. I figured that I could always sell it all and turn a profit it I ended up needing none of it.

The rims are gunmetal silver, and rather tasteful if I might say so. Unfortunately, when I tried them, they did not fit my lug pattern. They are four bolt, but the lug pattern is slightly larger than a Civic's 4x100. I did a bit of research and discovered that they were for a Mitsubishi Lancer.

Now for my real questions; is there an adapter I can use for it? If so, what are the pro's and con's? Or should I just skip the entire ordeal, sell them, and hope I can find something like them for little money.

What year are you and your buddies civic's? Unless one of you has a newer one the rims should fit both of your cars. If not I would just sell everything and make yourself a nice little profit.

His Civic was a 98 and mine's a 97. I said he never tried them, which is some bull. He had to have tried them, realized they wouldn't work, and then set them aside. I'm pretty sure he just wanted to get rid of them. Kind of a jerk move, but there you have it. I'll still come out ahead on this one even if I just sell them. Thanks much for the interest all...

I guessed that they were nearly 115. I bet you're right though. That's the stock Mitsu 4 bolt pattern, right? Know anyone that wants to buy them? They'll fit on basically any 4 bolt mitsu or subaru (or so I've read). I'm not stoked on the idea of having my wheels stick way out on the sides of my car, so I think the adapter possibility is going to be a no go.
