Default is my car lower the original?

Hello follows, i just bought new alloys to my car. 17" ace targa with the tyres 215-40-17 and i have problems when i dvive with this. when i drive a bit faster in curves it scratches and the same when it comes some bumps in the road. Im not sure if the car have been lowered before i bought it so now i turn to you for help.

This is my current car (picture modified so its easyer to see). Is it lower then normal or is it as it should be ?
Worth to mention is that it SHOULD be 215-35-17 tires so the wheels are a bit larger then it should be.

that looks like it's got a good 2" drop, maybe 1-3/4", but definitely not the stock ride height for a 6th gen

for reference....

stock ride height, about 4" between wheel and fender edge

2", wow thats alot. You say between wheel and fender edge, do you know how far is should be between wheel centrum to the feder edge? easyer to messure that way. If anybody else think its looks lowerd so please say.

When i look at the imaged you posted then my car sure looks lower then normal, altho its a bit less lowerd in the back then in the front. Im thinking of ordering thouse adjustable kits from ebay... link below..

^^ If you buy thoughs if will make the ride even worse. Search around the forum for good springs and shocks that will make the ride better.

well i like my Stechs... close to stock ride but still a nice drop.... im also runnen HP blue struts.

and ya your ride is definatly droped BUT the typical tire size for 17s that are sugest most the time is 205-40-17s

when i bought my first used rims they where i THINK 245-55-17s and tho they did fill in the rear tire gap REALY NICELY BUT they also rubbed when turning and over bumps they would rub...
