Default Need some new tires for winter

Ok i need some new tires 185/65/14 for the upcoming winter. I have uniroyals on it now and they suck so much. What do you guys and gals recommend that i should use, they got to be excellent for snow and wet traction so all season tires and hopefully some good performance out of them. FYI i have Tirerack and Discount Tire Company next to me.

I had Yokohama IG10's on my Jetta last year, those were phenominal in the snow.

Now, I have Yokohama K2's, which are speed rated winter tires (oh yeah!). ALthough I havent had a chance to test them in the snow yet, I can honestly say that these tires rock so far. Wet, dry, whatever... They're VERY quiet, ride smooth as hell, and theres little to no "wander."

I give them a big thumbs up. I also read on a VW forum that a guy had them on his GTI, he said it made his car feel like it was awd in the winter. I'm so pumped to try mine out.

I have yokohama Avid H4s' on there right now, they're high performance all seasons... we'll see how they do comming up.[:@] They're awesome on dry but they're really impressive on wet pavement... feels like it's dry.

Dunlop Winter Sport M3, this one is a dedicated winter tire and its 70. The next two are both high performance all-season tires, BFGoodrick Traction T/A H for 60 and Yokohama AVID H4S for 49.
These are stats that customers have given these tires.

Update: It's been snowing for the last couple days here and the H4s' are solid. I'm impressed with them.

Last winter here I was forced to buy Mirada GTX's ... I gotta tell you that I was impressed with how they got me around in the snow...I've already raised the car for winter now and can't wait to have some fun...
