Default new rims

i have a 2006 civic coupe and am planning on getting new wheels, but which size is better for a 17 inch wheel? 205/50/17 or 215/45/17? which size will leave less fender gap and still ride like stock?

u'll need a 215/45R17 tire, it wont lessen the wheel gap but atleast ur speedo will read correctly. if u wana lessen ur wheel gap, just get lowering springs..

thanks. with it being a digital speedo in the 06's, will it correct itself or would i need to have it reprogramed. because the si comes standard with 17's 215/45/17

lowering springs aren't an option yet, as this car is still under waranty for 2 years.

So I guess you have an Si ??? What color is your car. That color wheel looks best on white and black cars. Any other color car they won't look good IMO. 215/45/17 is your best bet. Get summer tires and keep your stock wheels/tires for winter if you have one. I suggest Bridgestone Pole Position RE 050A. Great tire, I had a set on my Acura TL-S 245/40/18 and they handled great and rode great.

No its an ex, but i was saying that the si's come standard with that size tire so it shouldn't cause any speedo problems.
