are you looking at full coilovers or partials?
based on his budget and the fact that he already has adjustable shocks, must be just the adjustable springs.

I've only adjusted mine once so far, but I like the design of the spring perch on the Ground Controls. It's one big threaded ring with a set screw, you just turn the whole perch by hand and then tighten it in place with an allen wrench. not with those two funny-looking coilover adjusting wrenches.

MXS is right, I only need partial coilovers as I already have adjustable shocks. Like MXS mentioned, I also want something that is easy to change settings on. I know the Ground Controls are simple to adjust. I'm going to call about the Omni's adjustment process.

Thanks for the tire info Civicexracer. I saw an autoX event not too long ago and I just got excited thinking about putting my car out there. Looks like a lot of fun.

Well, I've been doing some research and I think I'm going with the Eibach Ground Controls if anything. The main reason is because of the spring rate which will determine how harsh the ride is. I want to lower my ride and increase handling but this is my daily driver and I do not want to sacrifice ride comfort for price that much. Here's what I've found researching multiple coilovers from some of the major brands out there that may be helpful to some others...

These are all for 92-95 Honda Civic applications not sure if it applies to any other models:

Tokico Illumina springs are what I have now (non-adjustable) 253f / 123r
Eibach Ground Control: 350f / 250r
Skunk2: 450f / 336r
Omni Power: 448f / 336r

All these seem to have a substantial increase in rate over my current spring rate. Can any suspension gurus give me an idea of what to expect with an approximate increase in rate of 100 f&r?

Also MXS, what springs did you have on your car before the GC coilovers? What differences in ride comfort have you noticed?

Thanks in advance.

mm yeah if you want to retain your ride quality. or you could buy the partails and just use your current springs.

Well I went from stock to this. The thing is, at least with the Ground Controls, you can get whatever spring rates you want for another $10 each. Go here: https://www.redshiftmotorsports.com/...ver+Kit+CUSTOM Higher number is stiffer. I got about 300 in the front and 400 in the rear. It's obviously not as comfortable as stock, but I have the shocks at full stiffness too.

You know, I read this about GCs too but for some reason it just didn't register. [&:] I'll just get custom springs rates. The 350f / 250r might be just what I need anyway. I'll do more research and get some pro opinions on exactly what I need for predominantly daily and some track usage. Thanks for the feedback...
