Default To paint or not to paint

I've asked this question before and everyone had mixed opinions so here it is again I chopped another pic so should I paint my rims so I have a silver lip and black rims???

The corner is the original.

I say yes. Personally, I think it looks great with black wheels.

Thanks for your input. I'm thinking of powder coating but I'm pretty sure that will be spendy.

yep like the black

i dont really know what powdercoating costs, but thats defientely the way to go. but then again it may be cheaper to just buy new black rims and sell the old ones to make up some of the difference.

Powder coat. The finish is damn near bullet proof. Paint....WILL chip and flake off. Spend the money and do it correctly. It will look awsome for years. (if you keep the wheels that long)

All you guys who "paint" your wheels....wait till you see how GOOD they look in a year or more. Powder coating cost five times as much, but will look like new 10 times longer. I am on my 5th Civic. The first 2, I did some painting on the wheels....the regular stuff, spokes and all that. My first experiance with powdercoat was with black. When I sold the car 4 and 1/2 years later, the wheels were in almost perfect shape.
