Proper Offset (kind of involved)

Proper Offset (kind of involved)
Ok..did the proverbeal search and from what I see if I stick between 40-45 I'm safe. Most of the Honda factory rims come 45. I'm curious....If I start to up size and get wider rims should I increase or decrease the offset? I've seen everything from 32 to 48 and inbetween...I just don't want to drop the hammer and get stuck rubbing...I've got a 2" drop
Stock rubber was a
165/70/R13 with OD 22.09 = Stock
195/60/R14 with OD 23.2 = Current and it rubs ocassionally
195/50/R15 with OD 22.68 = first option
195/45/R15 with OD 21.9 = bent rim??...lol
195/45/R16 with OD 22.91 = another hard to find size
205/45/R16 with OD 23.26 = second option
205/40/R16 with OD 22.46 = bent rim??if I can find them (yokohama prada spec II)71.00
So I'd love to go with 16s but I'm not sure the 205 will clear with out rubbing, and 40 series for a daily could end up kinda of a harsh ride with bent rims, and the 195 in a 16 is hard to find special order type tire.
15s...I'd always want to see the 16s in there. LOL
So what do I do? who knows what fits without rubs? Should I get a full front UCA camber and rear camber before anything? Any thoughts would be appreciated, and yes I could stuff 17s in there, but I won't

RE: Proper Offset (kind of involved)
So can anyone answer
?
I'm thinking decrease so the extra rubber is sitting toward the fender, not the inner liner. So instead of a 45 make it a 42 or 40 right??
