Default question about koni yellows

when i bought the car it had koni yellows already on. what i notice is that they seem to bottom out when i hit a hard bump in the road. the roads here are pretty bad at times. i dont have the adjustment **** for the shocks but i have adjusted them with pliers for a stiffer ride. but the bottoming out worries me and i've even had my gf scream when i hit a bad bump in the road. other than that they drive great. should i be worried? is it normal?

The adjusting **** only adjusts rebound, not bump.

Sounds like you have a problem with something other than your shocks... what springs do you have? how low are they? what do your bump stops look like? etc.

i have eibach sportline springs. i looked up the springs for my car on the website and they specify 1.6" drop front and rear. i'm gonna go out and check my bump stops...

ok, they should be cut in half when using lowering springs. see if you can just get a photo of the whole assembly with the wheel off

also, the spring perch has 3 settings, if it's all the way down then that would make it even lower than 1.6" (which it does look like based on just your signature)

it's the orange rubber looking thing around the piston inside the spring.
stock size is about 3" long so it should be around 1.5" if it was cut properly
