Default rear brake conversion 96-00

What would I need to do a rear disc brake conversion on a 96-00 vic? I don't wanna over power my fronts, so no BIG brake kits, I just want a little better brake feel, and the great look. is it worth the hassle? cuz my vics not gonna be a monster as far as power goes... cough*auto*cough... yeah I know.... leave me alone... anyways, anyone have any info? is there a kit sold that's what I am looking for? or should I just forget about it? thanks

where's Super Mario? He just did one of those conversions. Make some friends at a local junkyard.\

you need the rear disc brakes from a 90-01 integra or a 92-00 civic that came with them. you basically need the whole rear suspension (except the LCAs, youll need your stock ones) and the parking brake cables. and if you are going to all the trouble, then get the proportioning valve from a rear disc car, along with an integra master cylinder and brake booster. you will be amazed at the difference just the master cylinder and booster makes in brake feel.

250-400. some places have them cheap, but its getting harder and harder to find them for less than 300, esp with the MC and prop valve.

Are you sure the rear disc off of a 90-01 teg will fit a 96 civic?

Also would 2 or 4dr matter?

the 92-98 civic rear suspension parts are 99% identical (personal experience) The number of doors doesn't matter. I did this conversion on a 94 coupe and about to do it on a 96 sedan. My friend did it on a 95 hatch....so I know it's all the same....getting aftermarket LCA would just make it look better...

Well you are for sure right!

I did most of the conversion today.

The hardest part is stuck bolts, and making sure you have everything you need.

Also I either need to rebuild my calipers or buy new ones.
