rear disk conversion next week
hey guys, quick question..i have to change my rear drum wheel cylinders because there leaking and i have to do it by next week, or should i do a rear disk conversion..if i were to could i just get a rating on how hard it would be and how much it would cost (to get the parts from the scrap yard? what parts do i need? thanks..
It ran me around $140 including new pads and rotors. Very easy if you have access to air tools...scale of 1 to ten its a 3 with air tools and a 5 without. Be prepared for broken bolts in the LCA's. Parts would be complete trailing arms off of a 94-01 teggy plus emergency brake cables and the proportioning valve. I didn't do the teggy MC, but instead got a brand new one for the civic. If you run into no problems shouldn't take more than 5-6 hours to do it, but I did that for like 3 days not counting wait time for new bolts from the stealer.
hummm..mabey ill just hold out for now, its only going to cost me like $50 to fix the problem i have and if i were to do the conversion i would i have NO idea what i was doing..and the preformance shop that could of help me and not changed me closed down..and i have a couple air tool but no impact gun and someother stuff i can guess i will need..so for now ill stick with the drums...
after i posted i went to go search on google and i actually foung that website ^^...i think i could mabey do it, but without someones help that has done it before i dont no if i would attempt it....also money a little low right now anyways, but no doubt i will do it when i got some time one day, with or without help
