Default Ride Quaility

Ok guys i have a 97 honda civic and i have some cheap coilovers on my car(I know i shouldn't got them but i'm only 16 don't know any better) but anyway my friend lowered the car for me and he really knows his stuff about car and he know about lowering car, anyways i been have a problem about how my car ride like its like a soft bounce in the front its not stiff. And my shocks in my car are blown, and all the people i know with coilovers with blown shocks cars ride so much better than mine. Like my friend accord his car have blown shocks and he have cheap coilovers and he car is sooooo stiff like its bouncy but its a stiff bounce and my car is a soft bounce and when i hit bumps feels like the engine is about to fall out like whats up wit that. Some one told me thats just the year of my car, thats y it rides like that. I don't know need help how can i make it stiff.

if ur shocks are blown, get new shocks...also a set of good coilovers would be safer and give a better ride.

the only way blown shocks will feel stiff is if theyre bottoming out. blown shocks usually will mean that all the weight is being supported by the spring and wont be very stiff at all....unless the spring is extremly stiff on its own.

like Nail said, because most of the weight of the car is being supported by just the springs if ur shocks are blown...which is not safe.
