Rim Size help pls....

Default Rim Size help pls....

Im a total newb and i have a question about rim sizes. I wanna buy 18"s but the when i see the sizes it says 18x7.5. What does the 7.5 mean?

^ on 8th gen civics, 18's fit and look fine, so don't say "don't put 18's on a civic"... if you want to say it, be more specific . And the way I see it, if someone wants 18's on their civic (regardless of model year), the rubbing issues are their problem, not mine. Let people do what they want to their cars.

I think they'd fit without rubbing issues, but I'll be honest... I'm not terribly familiar with 8th gens.

My 06. (same as 07) has 18x8.5 +42mm offset 225/40/18
It's perfect. Drive it like it has the stocks on.....no problem.

225/40/18
That's why! 40 series is a pretty small tire. I'm 205/50/16 and that is my perfect size and width

225/40-18 is actually the right tire size for 18's on an 8th gen. I just checked 1010 Tires. The speedo and odo will be off by a little under 1% though.
