S-Techs: Install Myself or Shop

S-Techs: Install Myself or Shop
I've never really dealt with suspension mods at all other than a strut bar, so i'm kinda iffy as to if i should install my S-Techs myself. You can just do it with a jack right? Theres a local shop that will do it for me, and if they do it for me, how long does it usually take? So i guess i'm saying being an absolutely beginner with suspension, should i do this myself?

My local charges $150+ tax. At some point in everyone's life, they had never done it either. I say go for it and spend the $150 on another upgrade.
Here is a DIY I did on doing the rears. Look that over and see if it makes sense to you. The fronts are only slightly more complicated by a couple more bolts, but do-able. Even as a complete beginner you should be able to do all 4 in< 3 hours. If you run into problems, just come post back or Pm me.

really only requires the purchase (or borrowing) of spring compressors.

So you think it'd take the shop about 3 hours?

be CAREFUL when removing the top hats off your OEM struts.
the springs need to be compressed with a spring compressor, while you unscrew to lock nut up top.
try to get a friend to help with this part and DON't get in front of the spring when your taking off the top hat.

Do it. A shop would charge about $50CAD a spring. So $200, plus the alignment afterward.
I have never done it eather but when (if) I get my coil-overs,I plan on doing it myself. There is some really good detailed DIYs on the net if you do some searching on different honda sites.
