you won't need performance shocks, but if your OEM shocks are old or leaking, you may want to get new shocks anyway.

KYB AGX2s are OEM replacement shocks that are cheap and ride better than your OEM shocks. a set runs about $250 to $300.

considering that H&R springs cost roughly $250. you may want to consider full coilovers unless you cherish a more comfortable ride...

i have a friend with a teggy on H&R springs and Tokico Illuminas. they drop significantly more than three quarters of an inch...at least twice that.

btw tokico illuminas are fantastic shocks.

if you dont want that much of a drop get the h&r oe ones. i have h&r sports and the drop is suppose to be 1.5 - 1.75 inches. as for shocks, it would be better to change them out but thats up to you. you dont have too though. tokico illumnas are good shocks and probably the best for the money. a little more $ and there is koni yellows.

With a 1.5 inch drop, those would have to be monster potholes. But I have heard NYC's roads are in horrible condition.
