The GR2s will not be able to handle the spring rates from the Skunk2 springs, let alone the drop. You're going to need to buy new shocks(either KYB AGXs or Koni Yellows), in order to run any decent coilover kit.

OR, this might be the best and cheapest, not to mention most comfortable...Buy the Ground Control sleeve coilovers and ask for custom rates of maybe 250 in/lbs for the front and rear. The GC coilovers with custom rates it about $100 more than the Skunk2s, but you won't have to buy new shocks, so it'll actually be a lot cheaper...Just don't slam ur car And it should be ok. Ride should be pretty smooth with that too.

No because when u reduce the size of the wheel, the sidewall of tire must increase to keep the speedometer and odmeter correct. Wether it's a 14" wheel or a 16" wheel, the overall diameter for both are the same(well real close atleast). So becuase of this, no, switching wheels will not lower ur car.

You can lower on the KYB GR-2's, but you are extremely limited in what springs/coilovers you can use, as they are less versatile and are intended as an OEM replacement, thus designed to perform best with stock springs. They can't really handle much of a drop, and only really soft spring rates.

The KYB AGX shocks on the other hand will handle this kind of stuff.
