Suspension Question...
i know im a noobie, and i have used the search, but i didn't come up with the results i wanted..
my Girlfriend has a 97, civic ex, 2dr.. and we went to les schwab last weekend, and they told her that she had tire wear because her struts were out. They then said they would replace them for 400 bucks.. i personaly don't know anything about honda suspension, i am a truck person so i know the basics when it comes to a coilover kit... i also noticed that her driver side tire is closer to the fender then the passenger side. This leads me to believe the driverside coil is shot, so does that mean that the coil needs to be replaced as well?
im just looking for something basic above stock, don't need to lower the car, but i would like to improve the handling.
any advice would be helpful..
Thanks..
Austin

RE: Suspension Question...
get KYB GR-R non-adjustable shocks from Autozone or Advance. They should cost about $250 - $300.
they're direct OEM replacements but have slightly better handling performance.
you could also add some lowering springs if you want, but get the struts first.
and forget paying $400 for another set of OEM shocks from Honda. They blow for the money...
