Default tein stech

my friend is about to buy some stechs, but hes on a budget. before he buys them, do you think they will be able to run fine on his stock shocks beccause of the lower spring rate? hes just a daily driver, and its a 95' accord.

The S-techs will run on the stock springs, but when your buddy gets the money he should get some Tokicos or KYBs.

Like Chimera said, for a while the car will run fine on the stock shocks, but eventually he will want to move up to bigger and better things. Im personally a fan of Tokicos.

Does that mean that the stock shocks will get stressed out from lowering and won't work anymore?

My Tein S-tech springs are being shipped now and on the report it says that the package weighs 1 lbs. Are they that light?

Nooo. They probably weigh 20 to 30 lbs (depending on whether or not they're progressive, which I believe S-Techs are).

As for lowering, yes, it will put extra stress on your stock struts, since they're not designed to damp that much. They'll last pretty long on S-Techs though, since they're relatively tame as far as lowering springs go.

Make sure you aren't driving like an *** whipping around turns and such, you could bust a shock.
