I've had these tires for about 5 months and they are one of the best tires I've owned for daily driving and performance. They ranked number 1 in the Ultra High Performance Summer category on Tirerack, and for good reason. They ride very smooth and are dead quiet, yet their cornering ability/stickiness is outstading. My stopping distances have decreased greatly and with no tire squeal whatsoever. Hydroplane resistance is excellent and tire wear is non-existent so far. Just an excellent tire for a good price and they even ranked higher than Michelin Pilots. Check out the reviews from tirerack here...

I have these in 225/50/16. While these are very good summer tires for spirited driving, they are just not cut out for autocross or any sort of competitive driving. Sure they're better than all seasons, but they literally get torn apart in autocross. After about 4 events I had chunks of rubber falling off the tire. In addition to that, don't even try to go on any sort of ice of snow with them. THey're not designed for it and therefore they DO NOT perform at all...

Purchased: I didn't buy them, the previous owner of my car did.
Time had: Driven on them for 4 months, previous owner bought them 2 winters ago.
Review: These tires are excellent; very stable tires with not a lot of road noise. These tires have excellent grip in snow and in ice. I haven't got stuck yet, nor have I been close to either. I haven't lost control yet. My civic doesn't have ABS, but my tires don't usually lock up because of the grip provided by the tires. Here is the link to the nokian hakkapellita webpage. I recommend these tires because of excellent traction in snowy and icy conditions.

Purchased: Value Tire in Saskatoon,all 4mounted & balanced for 450$
Time had: 2-3 months and roughly 2000 kms
Review: These tires have excellent control on ice and snow. These were bought for a 2005 sunfire by my mom. She doesn't like driving in snow, and doesn't like to go over the posted speed limit when in regular tires. After she bought these tires, she feels much safer because of the control and traction she gets. I like the tires, but I prefer MY winter tires. While driving her car, I feel safe in these tires. With ABS, the car doesn't lose control, slip or slide under harsh braking conditions. These are also excellent winter tires, but I would still recommend the Nokian Hakkapellita over the Michelin X-Ice.

whats up everyone im an aspiring autocrosser and im about to buy some rims... i know what kind i want and i know what kind of tires i want but i was told to find out the offset on my car (btw i drive a 2002 civic lx coupe) and i have no idea what it is... and i was hoping if anyone just happened to know if they could pass down their superior knowledge to me and let me know? thanks i would appreciate it

I purchased a set of Fierce UHP in 17 inch and were very pleased with them for the cost. They are a W speed rated tire with 420 tread AA traction A Temp and have performed very well over the last 2 years in my Eagle Talon. I will be purcahsing the same for my 00 Civic. The company is a subsidiary of Goodyear so you they carry the same warranty as well. Paid a little over 400 for the tires installed and ballanced.

Nitto Neogens!!! 225-40-17! just bought these tires a week ago, and they grip well! the tires ride well and are really quiet and smooth! i highly recomend these tires, even if you're a racer.

Usage: I bought these about a year ago and have put about 10k miles on them.
Thoughts: Got them on a good deal. For the price I paid for them they've worked fine so far. Doubt I'd pay full price for them and I wont be a return buyer. I dont autocross or race or anything so this review will be from a daily driver/non technical point of view.
Review: They stick to the road really well, grip on dry road is great for a zippy driver like myself. Wet performance is okay but not the best. I feel pretty safe hitting turns a little harder than I normally would. Snow and Ice performance is (unsurprisingly) terrible. Yes I did use these over the winter, didn't have money for anything better. I had to rely on ABS to save my *** a couple times and even then it was kind of shaky. I was actually surpised at how terrible they did. The tread isn't very low and the tires aren't bad, but they didn't do much better than when I drove an 88' Plymouth Voyager on nearly bald tires in the snow. Might've even been worse. The main thing I hated about these coming from a daily driver standpoint was the road noise. It's been absolutely unbearable. These things hum and drone on even at low speeds. If I get to 50 or higher is started to overtake my stereo system if I have it at a moderate volume. They look really nice on my car, however.. which is one of the few reasons I'm going to keep them until I need new tires. Kind of wish I could review these from a racing perspective, but that wont happen.
Conclusion: If you have a daily driver don't go anywhere near these. The road noise and only decent wet performance don't make them worth the money. I could deal with the noise if I only used them to race, but it gets really tiring hearing them buzz and hum and carry on going back and forth to and from work when I'm just trying to listen to some music.
I think my next purchase will be some Nitto NeoGens.

got it from www.discounttiredirect.com for $71.00 a tire. handling got waaayyy better after getting these. very good grip, even in rainy weather. will definitely buy these again. will update when it starts snowing again.
