Default Tire Rub

I have a few questions for you guys. I just put 18 inch konig livewires(215 35) on my 97 4 door lx. It rides good but around a sharp turn(with more than 1 passenger) the tire opposing the turn direction rubs in the rear. I have tien s tech springs on order, but im worried im going to worsen the problem. I havnt heard of any civics rubbing in the rear, only front which mine also does when the wheel is turned all the way. If you guys can give me some options that would be great.

Also do you think strut bars and sway bars will stop the rubbing, or mabye the springs will?

And last but not least....are the teins a good in expensive way to go??

Thanks

Tein springs are great and well worth the price tag.

As for rubbing, did you calculate the wheel diameter to keep it as close to possible as you could or did you just go with what looks good? Also the offset of the wheel will effect rubbing issues. Also, sways and strut bars probably wont help you with rubbing unless it still leans alot in turns. The only fix will be with a better diameter closer to stock, different offset, or less of a drop.

ok thanks....but do you think dropping it will increase the stiffness therefore it wont rub as much?
cuz its only on a hard turn with someone in the back

lowering it will make it rub more than it is now.

unless you dont mind the rubbing. You could try sway bars, but I honestly dont think it will help enough. My cousins civic is the same way... it rubs when he has more than 1 passenger, its the price you pay for running the wheels that you want

every car is different, alot of rubbing issues have to do with the offset and/or sizing the tire wrong
