tire size - 205/45/16 or 205/50/16

so im going to get these:


i read that recommended tire size for that wheel is 205/50/16,
would i be going smaller if i went 205/45/16? any thoughts? recommendations?

wut year/model car do u have? i assume u may have an '03 coupe so the actual size tire with a 16" for that year would bea 215/50.

I've got 14" stockers. When I bump up to 16 rims, the size that I'm supposed to get is 205/45/16. The /45 or the /50 is the aspect ratio, or how tall the sidewall is compared to the width of the tire. 5% isn't that much of a difference really. Your speedo and odo will be off ever so slightly, but I don't think its that big a deal.

Well I suggest you drop the car then too. Putting bigger wheels and low pro tires is going to make it look goofy without a drop
